Calvin Klein advertisement in Teen Vogue magazine issue May 2007 you have two models a male and a female promoting the fragrance one for him and one for her. You have the guy leaning through her and she is against the wall. In the advertisement you see her facing him but gazing somewhere else as she is taking his belt off. She is also wearing little clothes a pair of blue jeans showing the upper part of her under wear with a muscle shirt and you can see her bra strap. As for him he is gazing at her lips and playing with her hair. He is wearing blue jeans and has on a tight shirt.
The body expression between the two models infers that there is a sexual tension between them two. He is gazing at her lips while she is gazing somewhere else but her body position is facing through him. Also she is taking of his belt and he is playing with her hair a sign of him trying to flirt with her. There is two fragrance bottles one for him and one for her when there together they spelled out CK IN 2 U. The top part of the bottles represent the womens ovaries. The gaze is for male and female.

Logo

I had done another logo but at the end I decided to do a new logo and ended up with this. I had trouble using my ignitions  because if i place the j and s over each other it looks like a money symbol.

Pen tool Exercise

This was a fun exercise because I got to used bright colors. I had trouble with the hands I had to keep redoing this shape over and over.
Cool web site to check out http://kuler.adobe.com/#themes/rating?time=30

Pen Tool Exercise

Practicing using  pen tool which was hard at first but once i understood how the pen tool work it wasn't that hard. it took me a while to finish this exercise especially C and D.
The second exercise  was easier to do because I had understood how the pen tool work. I tool less time doing this exercise then the first exercise.
This exercise was one of my favorite to do but at first I was having trouble and i had to restart all over. The reason was that I forgot to make a new layer and make the original layer a templet. Still undecided if i should leave part of the face white.

Differences between Appropriation and Plagiarism

Describe the difference between appropriation and plagiarism.  Appropriation is a word that is used by media artists to describe the visual or rhetorical action of taking over the meaning of something that is already known, and making it your own. Plagiarism is the act of taking another person's ideas and passing it off as your own such as writing, conversation, and song.

Artist of the Day

Artist of the day Marcela BolĂvar, this image stood out to me from the rest of the other images by its used of detail in color. The background has shades of dark colors but the subject has just enough light to capture your eye sight. The image looks so realistic. She seems to be popping out of the frame. You can also tell something tragic has happen by the used of colors and how the leaves are surround her body as if she was trap and had nowhere to go. A story could be writing by just this image.
